Ogle "George" Hickman

OGLE HICKMAN Ogle "George" Hickman, 77, of Bucyrus, KS, passed away on May 31, 2025, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. George was born April 10, 1948, in Pittsburg, Kansas. He was the son of Ogle "Jack" and Aileen Hickman. George graduated from Arma High School in 1966 and continued his education at Pittsburg State University, earning a degree in Electronics. George began his career at King Radio, in Olathe, KS, in 1969. He left King Radio in 1980 and started working at Allied Signal, now Honeywell, in Kansas City, MO, where he retired in 2017. In his youth, George was an avid outdoorsman. He went on several camping trips with the Boy Scouts to Canada, multiple ski and camping trips to Colorado, and recorded over 150 skydiving jumps. During his retirement, George enjoyed visiting his two grandsons, of which he was incredibly proud of. George is preceded in death by his two parents, Jack and Aileen Hickman. He is survived by his ex-wife, Virginia Hickman (Bucyrus, KS), son, Dan (Jana) Hickman (Galena, KS), daughter, Kristin Hickman (Overland Park, KS), and two grandsons, Patrick and William Hickman. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, June 9, 2025, at Dengel & Son Mortuary Louisburg Chapel, 1 Aquatic Drive, Louisburg, KS 66053. Visitation will follow the memorial service.
