Nolan Bloom Obituary

Nolan L Bloom passed away at his home in Parker, Idaho on Oct. 2 at the age of 78.

Nolan was born May 26, 1944 in Parker, ID to George Henry & Mildred Opal Bloom. He was the 5th of 8th children. Nolan grew up in Parker and attended Parker Elementary, before going to Saint Anthony and graduating from South Fremont High School.

He married Emma Lou Coleman on November 26, 1965 in Wilford, ID. The raised 5 kids together in Parker ID, where Nolan worked as a carpenter and farmed with his Dad George.

Nolan served his country honorably in the Vietnam War as a member of the 116th Combat Engineer Battalion of the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife Emma Lou of Parker, Clayne (LaTisha) Bloom of Pocatello, ID, Angela (Douglas) James of Parker, ID, Jason (Crystal) Bloom of Midland , TX, Ben (Laura) Bloom of Parker, ID, and Noleen (Jay) Newbold of Moscow, ID. 12 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers.

The family will receive friends on Friday Oct. 7 from 6:00-7:30 pm at Bert Flamm Mortuary in Saint Anthony, ID, 581 E. 1st N. A graveside service will be held on Saturday Oct 8 at 10:00 am at the Parker Cemetery in Parker, ID. With military rites by the St. Anthony Veterans and Idaho National Guard Honor Guard.

The family suggest donations to the Saint Anthony Veterans at P.O. Box 235, St. Anthony, ID 83445.
