Wayne Ward

1938 - 2022

Wayne S Ward, of Teton City, Idaho, passed away peacefully from this earth with the love of his life and his family by his side on Friday, December 23, 2022, at the age of 84. Wayne was born in the family home in Salem, Idaho on September 19, 1938, to Charles and Gertrude (Stallings) Ward. He was the 6th of 8 children. He graduated from South Fremont High School in 1957 and went straight into the job that he already knew and loved - farming. Besides his wife, farming was the love of his life. He married his sweetheart, Sandra Lynne Borresen, on June 2, 1960, and they raised three sons and a daughter in Teton City. His greatest joys in life were his family, camping and fishing trips, snowmachining, and watching and supporting his children and grandchildren as they grew up. He was a loving and loyal husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. His absence from this earth will be felt by any and all who knew and loved him.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sandy, his sisters Yvonne Taggert and Beth (Wade) Shirley, his sons Wade (Mary) Ward, Todd (Tammy) Ward, and daughter Lori (Robert) Davis, 13 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Lila Covington, Byron Ward, LuDene Loudy, Glenn Ward, and Veda Leavitt, his second son, Rick Ward, and his great-grandson, Gunner Wayne Davis.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Bert Flamm Mortuary at 581 E 1st N in St. Anthony, Idaho. The family will receive friends before services from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m., with the funeral starting at 11:00 a.m. Family graveside services will occur at a later date at the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Special Olympics Idaho in memory of Wayne Ward.
