Uncle Alan, In your passing, though I am filled with sadness I will remember you the way you lived. You where always there to make my yearly trip to Reno a memoriable one. I even remember once when I was young my brother Patrick thought you had so many friends because you would call strangers "hey budy.." and you always had a joke to tell. Sandy I am sorry for the loss of a good husband, father, brother and son...You are deeply missed Uncle Alan by so many, goodbye for now.

My Dearest Brother Alan,
It's been exactly 30 days since you left us. 2 weeks ago I was in Michigan with the U.S. Coast Guard Pipe Band. We dedicated "Amazing Grace" to you and your memory. It seems like yesterday you and I were playing together in the Pipe Bands in Bellingham and Abottsford, Canada. That was a great time for both of us. Looking back you and I had the greatest of times living on Chestnut Street and later E. Illinois St. Not to be forgotten was all our get-togethers in Reno & the annual Celtic celebrations. In short, you'll be missed. Tell the Pipe Major upstairs to save a spot in the Band for me.

James W.B. Taylor (Crowbate)

Alan my brother, I got from you my interest in athletic sports, you were always a natural athlete, and I tried to emulate you. I remember when I was in a ping pong tournament at the local grade school during the summer and everyone was cheering for the other person and I heard your voice say "Come on Margaret, you can beat this guy" and I did! You always had a terrific sense of humor and always saw a funny side to everything. I will miss you Alan, I thankyou for sharing your life with me as my brother and the many good times we had together. Love your sister, Margaret

You were loved by many Dad and I will miss you dearly. You were never short of jokes and bringing smiles to those all around you; I was even told that everyone in Winnipeg knew who you were (Jim's story) :) My love for others and my character will always be guided by the unconditional love that you showed me. Sandy, I thank you for always being his rock and for loving me just as much. My thoughts are with you. Goodbye for now Dad, you will not soon be forgotten. Love Your Son, ~Ryan

Our condolences Aunt Sandy on the passing of Uncle Alan.

I loved Uncle Alan. Every time I had a chance to be with him it was a time filled with laughter and good times. I remember a trip to Winnipeg that he went on as well. He taught me the finer points of comic book collecting that I plan to pass on to my sons. I remember in the evening on our trip he talked about shooting pool, and days as a taxi driver. He even mentioned the cabbie in Winnipeg overcharged us on our fare--I think we were able to get part of it back. He taught me Troy's personal anthem, "Oh why am I so beautiful, all the girls go for me!" Every time I think of Uncle Alan, I always have warm thoughts of how neat it is to have spent time with such a wonderful person.

I am sorry for his passing Aunt Sandy, I will surely miss him.
Love, Patrick, Heather and family
