Barbara Jean Carter Trist

Reno - Barbara Jean Carter Trist died peacefully on February 4, 2018 in Reno, NV at the age of 89.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lisa Coomer, husband Simon, and their children Paul, Corbin, and Amanda Coomer; her son Mark Trist, wife Susan, and their children Mackenzie and Adam Trist. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth McDonald Carter and Paul R. Carter, and her brother Donald George Carter.

Barbara was born on December 3, 1928 in Hollywood, California. She graduated from Reno High School in 1946.

Barbara was fondly referred to as "Baba" by her five grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and loved to read, crochet, and watch Tom Selleck movies. Barbara had a sassy, proud, and caring personality. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, February 24th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Snows Church followed by a reception. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Barbara's life.
