Beverly Jean Tomaso

Sparks - Beverly Jean Tomaso passed peacefully in her home in Sparks, Nevada on June 13th 2021 at the age of 89, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Beverly was born December 8th 1931 in Reno, Nevada to Ethel & Eben Twaddle Jr. She graduated from Sparks high school in 1949. She then went on to complete her nursing education from San Francisco School of Nursing at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in 1953.

During her schooling, Beverly met her husband, Leandro "Tommy" Tomaso, who she married January 31st 1958. Bev and Tommy owned and operated Good Luck R & R Nursing Home in Sparks, Nevada for many years while raising their four children. Beverly then worked as a nurse at the VA Hospital until her retirement. After retiring Bev continued to find joy in life's simplest moments and would spend her days gardening, traveling, and enjoying time with her family.

Beverly will always be remembered for her sense of humor, infectious smile, adventurous spirit, and profound kindness. Bev and Tommy deeply instilled a true meaning of caring, love and family in us all, and we are grateful for the abundance of memories we are able to share together because of that.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; brother Eben "Spike"; husband Tommy; and brother-in-law David. She is survived by her sister Shirley; sister-in-law Jeanie; daughters Lynnet (Dana), Tammy (Chrystal), Sharla (Greg) and son Tim; grandchildren Ilissa (Jeremy), Tera (Evan), Abby (Robert), Alex T., Alex G. (Madison), Rachel (Jared), John, and Lydia; and seven great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held at Beverly's home.

Where a beautiful soul has traveled beautiful memories remain forever.

I worked with Bev at the VA hospital many years ago and although it has been a long time since I socialized with her, I still remember what a fine person and great nurse she was and what a pleasure it was to know and work with her. Blessings and condolences and love to her family.
