Clayne Munk Obituary
Clayne ElRoy Munk, age 84, born May 4, 1930, passed away July 18, 2014. Clayne was born in Logan, Utah to Vernal Munk and Edith Barnett. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Sorensen, daughters, Judy Kay Hensley, Linda Speth, and Valerie Ann Blevins. His sisters are Carolyn Williams and Janet Munk. He will be missed by his 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Clayne served 2 years in the California mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, then after his marriage to Bernice Sorensen July 29, 1952 he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, drafted as a private and discharged as a sergeant. He graduated from Utah State University in 1957 with a degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning. He was a Land Use Planner for San Diego County for 15 years and retired as Land Use Planning Director of Solano County, CA. He enjoyed gardening and was a Master Gardener. He served his church faithfully, including 25 years as a temple worker. His funeral will be held in the Reno North Stake Center Reno, NV at 2505 Kings Row on Monday July 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. following a viewing in the Relief Society room at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Clayne requests that friends and family donate to the LDS General Missionary Fund. Burial will be in Logan, Utah Cemetery.

Dear Bernice and Family,
I haven't lived in Logan for 64 year I remember the good times we had together in the Munk Family. Going to Grandma's house was always special.
