Cliff Vice Obituary

Cliff Edward Vice (Buck)

Cliff was born in Winnemucca, NV on February 6, 1948 to Floyd and Lucinda Vice. He passed away on June 22, 2013 at his home in Elko, NV.

He graduated from Humboldt County High School in Winnemucca in 1966. He worked for the Western Pacific Railroad, and later the Union Pacific Railroad, in Winnemucca, and Elko, and for a brief time in Stockton. In 1971 he married JoAnn Gourley in Winnemucca, and four years later they welcomed their only child Julie. They later divorced, and Cliff never remarried..

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his daughter Julie Vice (Susi) of Sacramento, brothers Floyd Vice (Peggy) of Reno and Curt Vice (Judy) of Sparks, sisters Fran Stade of Spanish Springs and Phylliss Fagg (Ron) of Reno and several nieces and nephews, as well as several grand nieces and nephews.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.

Cliff was a great neighbor in Elko and it was good to reacquaint when we moved to Winnemucca. Sorry to hear of his passing. He was a friend to all he met.

Our sincerest condolences to family of Buck. He was a fine man, I knew him well on the railroad. His work ethic and demeanor was above and beyond. He truly was a master at his trade. He will be missed by all that knew him.
