Daniel DeGroat Obituary

Daniel Warren DeGroat passed away peacefully to be with our Lord at his home on Feb. 29, 2012. He was born in Binghamton, New York on Feb. 19, 1956.
Daniel moved to Reno, Nevada in 1963. He graduated from Hugg High School in June 1971. Then he worked at Nevada Air Guard for six years as a Supply Sergeant. From there he went to UPS as a driver for 30 years and was a member of Teamsters Local 533.
He is survived by his mother Doris L. Harrington of Reno, Nevada, his father Kenneth C. DeGroat of Endicott, New York, his sister Diane L. De La Rosa of Endicott, New York, a step-sister and two step-brothers in New York and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Vistacare Hospice for their kindness.
Viewing will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 5:00-8:00pm with a Chapel Service on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00am, both at Walton's Sparks Funeral Home at 1745 Sullivan Lane in Sparks, Nevada. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno, Nevada.

Danny you will truly be missed! My vacation to Reno was probably one of the best I ever had thanks to you and your fun filled spirit, I'm just sorry we didn't get to travel the West again! Love you very much!
Aunt Doris, Uncle Kenny, Diane and Danny's New York family I'm sorry for your loss, but God now has an amazing angel who will add much fun and laughter to his Heavens!
