Sparks - Daniel H. Stockwell passed away quietly at his home in Sparks on June 6, 2021. Dan was born on February 24, 1942, in a small house on 5th Street in Carson City, Nv. Dan is survived by his loving daughter Susan McKinnish and family. Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife Karen Stockwell.
Dan worked in the information technology business for most of his life and at one time owned his own business Stockwell & Associates. He retired from the State of Nevada in December of 2010 as the Director of Information Technology.
Dan had a great love for model building. Dan showed expertise and precision on every model he built. Over his lifetime he completed hundreds of models. They were perfection. Rest in peace Dad, I love you.

What would Sparks be without truly great citizens like Dan and his brother Don. They are the very backbone and essence of our super special city. For those of us that grew up together in what was once a very small community of safe and secure surroundings Dan our class mate, neighbor and friend will be missed but never forgotten. Thank you Dan for the extremely special man you turned out to be. Thanks for the memories of running into each other and going beyond a simple hello. You took the time to get caught up and just talk. You really cared how your old friend was doing. You always always made me feel special. Thank you!

So sad to hear of Dan's passing. Will always have fond memories of growing up with Dan and the rest of the people in the Lincoln Park subdivision. My prayers go to the rest of the family. Dan was a good man.

My sympathy and condolences and prayers for each of the Stockwell family members. Even though Dan was a twin he was definitely one of a kind. I am blessed to have Dan as a friend. So many memories... Precious, pizzas, watching old movies and old westerns, he loved to laugh and tease. My favorite memory is seeing him standing in the driveway smiling.
