Darlene passed away on Sunday July 10, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Francis H. Boole and Ruth May Holzhauer Boole of Yucaipa, CA who preceded her in death. Darlene is survived by her husband of 11 years, Lawrence Steele and her son Ryan Neeser of Anchorage, Alaska. Darlene will be missed immeasurably by her long time friends Denise and Dave Everett and Sally Manley. She was loved by all who knew her and was a constant ray of sunshine to her husband, who loved her dearly. Darlene had a passion and talent for interior design, home improvement projects, stained glass and tile work. She also had a great love and caring for animals, was an accomplished equestrian and trained horses with her husband. Darlene worked at Boomtown in Verdi, NV for several years after moving to Reno in 1978, also worked for the Frontier Recovery Network, and was part of the dedicated team at Quest Counseling and Consulting, Inc. for the past five years. Please make donations to the SPCA or Humane Society in lieu of flowers.

To Larry, Ryan, and all who loved Darlene, our hearts go out to you. We have know Darlene for many years and we love her and miss her. I'll miss all the chats about horses, home repair, and sharing recipes and all sorts of stuff. I miss her very much as I'm sure so many do. May the peace which comes from memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead.

Dear Larry and Ryan, I am so sorry for your loss. Dar was such a down-to-earth, sweet person. I miss her very much, and I will never forget her. My thoughts and prayers are with you both during this sad time.
