Debbie Rosenburg Obituary

Debbie Rodenburg

July 16, 1952

January 22, 2014

Debbie Rodenburg, 61, quietly passed away at home on January 22, 2014 after a 16 year battle with MS. Debbie was born Deborah Carroll Dutro on July 16, 1952 in El Paso Texas. In the late 1960's her family of 5 kids moved to Reno where she had to help support them while attending Reno High School. She soon had to leave school to work full time as a casino restaurant hostess where she met Dennis Rodenburg. Dennis thought he was only temporally working in Reno. At age 18 she had lost all tolerance for her irresponsible parents, ran away with Dennis and never looked back. They married the next day on March 3, 1971, stayed in Reno and spent the next 42 years raising 2 beautiful kids, working, camping, boating, water skiing, fishing, and hunting, traveling in their RVs and visiting grandkids. She finished high school soon after marriage, began a health care career as a nurse's aide and soon worked her way into the hospital office. In 1980 she helped Dennis take 9 months off work to finish his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering at UNR. Life got even better. The houses got bigger, the cars got newer, and the adventures kept coming. MS slowed her down some but she stayed mobile until the last month of her life. Her kind brown eyes will be missed by all that knew her.
