Ed was a wonderful father. He had a tight group of friends when he worked at Naval Ships Weapon Systems in Port Hueneme, California. He was instrumental in designing and installing missile weapons systems aboard notable aircraft ships around the world which are still being deployed. Family was key to him. He truly was a rocket scientists and will be deeply missed. Thank you Ed for giving me two remarkable son´s, Jason and John.

I was truly saddened to hear about Ed's passing. I worked with him for many years in the TARTAR Department on the base at Port Hueneme. He always had a smile on his face and helped the working hours go by quickly. My deepest condolences to all the family. I pray that God will bring you comfort during this difficult time.

Being two weeks apart in age growing up, we were each others Shadow! It was a no brainer that Ed became my "Best Man". We had so much fun together from early days at Ed's family home filled with cheer & laughter to Sundowners in college and flying together buzzing the Sundowner spaghetti feed. So many good memories!
This past Winter Ed moved in with me for three months. We were definitely the Odd Couple! We discussed life and its ups & downs and tried to make some sense of it all. The one thing we figured out that shocked us both "this is no rehearsal"! We came up with a plan to handle that realization ... "Don't forget to Boogie"! Much love to you Ed, my dear Bro, I'll being seeing you soon, "this is no rehearsal" .... Gus

We grew up in a different time. A time when playtime was mostly unsupervised--an invaluable gift for a child. We played with dangerous toys, like wood-burning sets and X-ACTO knives. We had BB guns. We explored mine shafts and jumped from railroad bridges into the Truckee River. We were privileged to hear the steam engines working. We walked on thin ice. We tested nearly every boundary. We loved our friends and hated our enemies. We had to decide for our selves just how far to go...

I will miss you terribly.

Your friend,
Bob Van Noy

To the Reiher and Quadrio families; So sorry to hear of this great loss. I had the opportunity to have worked with Funny many years ago. I had the pleasure of meeting Ed also. Both are remembered as just great people. They have both left terrific legacies. Sincerely, Jeff Wooldridge
