Ethelyn Brown Obituary

Ethelyn Kaye Brown of Fernley, Nevada passed away on Monday, November 15, 2010 in Reno, Nevada. Kaye was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on November 29, 1950 to Charles Lowell Hale and Leota Eugenia Colyer.
Kaye received her formal education from South East Missouri State University and Fullerton Junior College, and put her training to use as she worked as a drug and alcohol counselor for many years, fulfilling her desire to help others overcome their addictions. Kaye had a great love for music. This talent became apparent at the young age of three years old and from there Kaye found much joy in making music, even up until the time of her passing when she had just mastered the organ in order to serve as her church organist. Kaye's happiest moments were spent with her family. On February 28, 2009 she was sealed to her husband in the Reno Nevada Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Kaye is survived by her husband, Ronney DeWayne Brown; sons Mark Alan (wife Ming), Eric Jason, and Neil Alan Brown; her father, Charles Lowell Hale; her siblings Myra Jo Quisenberry, Gayla Long, and Tony Hale; and her grandsons, Matthew and Tyler Brown.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 with a viewing at 9:30am and services at 11:00am at the LDS Chapel at 155 US Highway 95A in Fernley, Nevada.

Kaye will always remain in my heart. A true friend, she was at my side whenever I was going through hard times. She helped me, cried with me, stayed on the phone with me for many hours. She was by my side whenever I needed her, I will never forget her for showing me what a true friend was. She is with God's angels now, watching over us. I love you Kaye. I was blessed by having you a part of my life. I will truely miss you. May your family find comfort and inner strength at this very difficult time. Love to you all.

Please accept my deepest condolences to family and friends who share in the loss of Kaye. She is my cousin that I met online doing genealogy research. Kaye always presented a positive attitude in our online correspondence. What a sweet lady.
