Sparks - In Loving Memory of Fernando Vasquez

Fernando was born in Mexico and moved to the USA at the age of 19. A series of events in a new country led him to Sparks, NV where he would settle in and set up roots. He met his wife while visiting home in Mexico, and the next year they were married and bought their home in Sparks. The home saw children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow up and was Fernando's home his whole life.

After years of working at Arlington Nursery, Fernando decided to start his own landscaping business, Vasquez Lawn Service, which operated for over 30 years. One of Fernando's proudest achievements after being a business owner was working at John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks for over 50 years. After retiring, his most valuable moments were spent with family. Fernando will be remembered for his storytelling, love of gardening, and generosity.

Fernando was preceded by his wife, Sara. He is survived by his 3 children; Elvia (Guadalupe), Fernando (Monica), and Sara; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

My condolences. I remember your father very well. He was and always will be a member of the A-team, as we like to say.
