My thoughts and prayers are with the Murchison Family. I had the pleasure of working with Fred for many years at Community Services Agency Head Start program. What I remember most about Fred -his smile, he wore it daily. He was always ready to lend a hand, listened to what people had to say and never failed to provide words of encouragement. Like the first raindrop which ripples across calm water the work of one man can spread out and touch the lives of many. Fred did just that he touched the lives of many.
He will be missed and dearly remembered.

Fred came to our accounting office many times during the year to deliver information from CSA. I never remember seeing him without a smile, a positive attitude, and a good word for everyone. We will miss him terribly.
The world would be a much better place with more people like Fred.

My heart goes out to you in the loss of your loved one. I will always remember his smile and his sincere greetings. I enjoyed listening to him give the history of Greater Harvest and will always remember it, because it was the last time I saw him, smiling, laughing, making us laugh, and just enjoying life. Praying for you all.

Dear Ruby! Words are wanting to express my feelings of sorry and pain experienced by the loss of our loved one, Fred. What God gives, He taketh away and we celebrate and appreciate the time he was with us. 'He is in a better place" is an adage that we oftentimes hear and we find peace and comfort in knowing that. The other day while visiting my mom, she reminded me as we talked about my brother's passing, "Ola, we did not come here to stay"!. Those words really put everything into perspective and makes life's journey much easier to comprehend. Together, we will bear this burden, take it to the Lord, and leave it there. Ola (Your brother-in-law)

Ruby and Family my prayers and heartfelt sympathy are with you at this time. My siter Zadie and I were blessed to spend time with Eld. Murchison on last Friday evening. What laughter and smiles he brought to us on that day. I was stunned to hear of the loss on Saturday. We now take comfort in believing and knowing that God will wipe away every tear. What a blessing Fred was to my brother Eld. W. J. Wynn and family as well as my son in law Cloyd Phillips. He will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts. God will take care of you Ruby. My prayers for strength and comfort are with the Murchison family during this difficult time. I had the priviledge of meeting Pastor Murchison and hear his wife's beautiful voice when they visited Christ Temple MBC in Sacramento. We are but strangers here; Heaven is our Home. I'm sure his brothers greeted him and said, "Welcome Home, my brother!" God bless your family.

I could say that Fred Murchison worked for me for many years, but in reality, Fred worked with me. I don’t think there ever was a time that he wasn’t wearing that magnetic smile. A smile that would melt through any crowd. There was no doubt that Fred walked as a Christian; all his words and actions built people up and made them feel good about themselves and the world around them. He certainly had a way about him. I am so privileged to have called him a friend.
