Gerri Sherman passed away peacefully early Monday morning with her loving husband Darrel by her side. She worked at Nevada Bell Telephone until her retirement, but she identified herself more as a homemaker. She lived for her children and was devoted to her husband. Gerri and Darrel were married on her birthday in 1945 and have 4 children; Darlene, Jim, Danny and Terri. She also has 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a large extended family. Gerri was born in Arizona and lived on many military posts with her husband and children until settling in Reno in 1960 and later to Fernley. Services will be held September 17th at 1:00pm at the Walton Funeral Home in Sparks Nevada.
