Jase Adam Kellames passed away unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the age of 31. He was born in Reno, Nevada on December 20, 1981 and was a resident his entire life. He attended Brown Elementary, Pine Middle School and graduated from Wooster High School in 2000. He is survived by his father Jim Kellames, mother Sandy Kellames, brothers James Kellames (Christina), Jake Kellames, and EJ Rose, grandmother Bonnie Sherich, step-mother Stephanie Kellames and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Alice Kellames.
He was involved in athletics from an early age. He competed in baseball with the Washoe Little League, So. Reno Babe Ruth, and Wooster High School. He excelled in football at Wooster where he was named 1st Team All-State LB and won the coveted "King of the Jungle" award and was voted the 'Most Outstanding Defensive Player" at the High School All Star football game his senior year.
After graduating high school he started his career in transportation management and was currently employed by C.H. Robinson, one of the world's largest logistics broker as an Account Manager.
He had a great sense of humor and was a fiercely loyal friend who loved a good debate. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. Jase always had a special place in his heart for children and Aaron Churchill's little daughter Kirra called him "Uncle Jase". They had a special bond and accordingly we have set up a Scholarship Fund in her name and ask that in lieu of flowers you donate to any US Bank.

Dear Sandy, Jim and boys,
We were out of town only to return to read about Jase. He was like part of our family when he and Jeremy were little boys. I remember the sleepovers, the friendship and the time we took the boys to the Giants game when Jeremy through out the first pitch. He had to have his best friend ,Jase, there with him and Lee and the two boys went down the night before. I cannot imagine any worse loss in life and our hearts and prayers are with you. I loved the friendship between our middle sons.

I have had the great honor of working very close with Jase for a couple of years now and I cannot describe how shocked I was to hear the devastating news of his passing!! We spoke on the phone at least once a day every day, what a Great Person he is!! He always had something positive to say even if it was a bad day... I will miss him terribly!!! Jase, I've heard many stories and the laughter of memories as I think of you and your family and friends. It will be a tough day for all. To the Kellames ~ I pray peace and comfort over you all in this rough time. My heart hurts for you and I never even met you. Just know that he's no longer in pain from this cruel world. Instead, he's down looking at you and wishing he could tell you all that he knows (that everything is okay, God is real, and to focus on strengthening your relationship with God). Stay strong and look at it as he's looking down at you wishing that you guys would be okay (rather than him being ok). Jase, going to the quickee mart just isn't going to be the same without running into you there. Started to become a weekly ritual in town, I enjoyed chatting with you each time. You were always a very kind person. I can't remember even in high school a time when you were anything else but kind. I'm thankful for knowing you and ill always cherish it.
