Jimmy McIntyre Obituary

Jimmy Dale McIntyre Sr., 65, of Florence, passed away March 1, 2013, at ECM Hospital.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 146, Amateur Softball Association, Painters and Allied Trades International Union and an avid fisherman and Alabama fan.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Wayne Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Sherrod Valley Cemetery with military funeral honors accorded at graveside by the American Legion Post 146, Loretto, Tenn.
Mr. McIntyre was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Alice McIntyre; step-son, Robin Lee Hood; brother, Donnie Nelms.
He is survived by his wife, Shelah Dell Stone McIntyre of Florence; sons, Jimmy Dale McIntyre, Jr. (Christy), of Lavergne, Tenn.; adopted son, Eli "Boobie" Folks of Florence; daughters, Christy McGee (Keith), of Florence, Paige McIntyre (Jason Anyan), of Ardmore, Tenn., stepdaughter, Amanda Hood Folks; brothers, Sammy McIntyre, of Muscle Shoals, Ricky McIntyre, of Muscle Shoals; sisters, Janice McIntyre, of Florence, Joan English, of Florence, Kaye Austin, of Loretto, Tenn., Barbara Gibson, of Blue Ridge, Ga.; grandchildren, Brittney Sloas, of Florence, Cody Sloas, Evan and Eric McIntyre, Dylan and Lane Lanier, Paisley McIntyre, Alex Folks, Scarlett, Destin and Ivy Ozbirn; great-grandchildren, Jacey and Brooklyn Minton.
Active pallbearers will be Brad McIntyre, Nick Stone, Cody Sloas, Jason Anyan, Head Ivey and Ronnie Wright.
Honorary pallbearers will be Keith McGee, Ryan Clemons, Roy Foster, Ronald Thrasher and Tommy Risner.
