John Swapp Obituary
1953 - 2015
John Richard Swapp passed away November 14, 2015 unexpectedly at his home in Clinton, Utah.
John was born in Elko, Nevada on April 27th, 1953 to Archie Little Swapp and Margaret Robinson Swapp. He lived in Carlin, Nevada until age11 and then because of his father's work with the Southern Pacific Railroad, moved to Sparks, Nevada where he attended school and graduated from Sparks High School in 1971.
John was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served a full time mission for the church to the North Carolina and South Carolina missions. He also served three stake missions later in life. Missionary work was a passion for John and he had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lynn Dell Swapp, his four children, Ryan Swapp (LaDonna), West Haven; Shawn R. Swapp (Whitney), Clinton; Sarah Mecham (Jason), Hooper; and Emily Swapp (Kyler) Layton; Sister, Jeannie Mickel (Harold), Spring City. He also is survived by ten grandkids, and many nieces, nephews, great and even great, great nephews and nieces. John truly loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother, Archie R. (Bill) Swapp.
John worked at many jobs over his career. He was a technical salesman working for several different software companies. He later went back to school and got certifications that allowed him to hold technical jobs in customer support for computers and networks.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Clinton 12th Ward, 1708 West 800 North, Clinton. A viewing will be held Tuesday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.

God bless you John, you were always very kind and patient with us and a great example, I have many memories of the days in Sparks as where we grew up together, it was a pleasure to talk you on the phone a while back, may your family be blessed with our Fathers richest blessing Ed Ballingham an old West Warder
