Kathy Wenerstrom Davis passed away June 12, 2015 in Reno after a lengthy illness. She was born in Wallace, Idaho but grew up in Sparks, graduating from Sparks High School in 1964. She then went to the University of Nevada, earning a BS in Biology. She began working for the USPS in 1969 where she met her future husband James Davis. They were married later that year and had their only child, Deidre in 1971. In 1979 Kathy left the Post Office to pursue her true calling, selling Real Estate. She spent the next 32 years helping hundreds of Northern Nevada families find their dream homes. She was very active with the Reno-Sparks Association of Realtors, serving on several committees; heading Professional Standards for many years. She lost her husband James in 2007, her mother Jeanette in 2006 and her father Wesley in 1973. She is survived by her sister Susan Luzier and her daughter Deidre Davis. In lieu of flowers please donate to Kathy's favorite charity, Habitat for Humanity. She believed every family deserved to have a place to call home.
