Kenneth Menghini Obituary
Kenneth "Kenny" M. Menghini, 61, passed away October 16, 2012 while working in Ely, Nevada. He was born June 16, 1951 to Ken and Marion Menghini in Ely, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his son, K.C. Ray; mother, Marion; father, Ken; paternal and maternal grandparents; and his favorite uncle Jimmy. He is survived by his wife, Cathy of 34 years; his son, Kody; his brother, Ed (Terri); his sisters, Toni (Jerry) and Tina (Don); nieces, Wendy, Andee, and Darby; nephews, Jason and Garrett; extended family, Bub, Sid, Halley, Mason Hayward, and Andee Cooper family and Patti and Wylie Lund; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Every person Kenny knew was his friend. Kenny fulfilled his life long dream of drawing an elk tag in 2011. He harvested his elk and had the time of his life with his son and brother helping him. His love of children was evident by all the hours he spent coaching baseball and teaching kids to team rope. He never said "no" to anyone and enjoyed every minute spent giving a helping hand. His family was the most important persons in his life. He never failed to call "his bride" at least 2 or 3 times a day. And he rarely went a day without contacting his son, Kody. There will be a viewing on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City followed by a graveside service at 12:00 Noon at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern Nevada Chapter of Safari Club International Scholarship Youth Fund, 4790 Caughlin Pkwy #227, Reno, NV 89509-0907 or to Family House, 50 Irving St., San Francisco, CA 94122.

Harvey and I are so so sorry for your loss. Kenny was such an amazing person. We just found out about his passing and are still in shock. Our thoughts are with you Kathy, Kody and the rest of kennys family. Such a loss. We always said He was a gentle giant. will never forget him. RIP kenny You will always live in our hearts.

Kenny, I miss you and my kids miss you. You have had such an impact on my life dating back to when I was in little league, cooking for our wedding, and even to racing over to my house when my daughter was hurt (you beat the fire trucks and paramedics). Thank you for always being there.

I had the distinct privilege of serving alongside Kenny on the Northern NV Chapter of SCI…
Kenny was genuine…forthright…and truly cared about all he gave his efforts too…
I am thankful for the limited time I spent with Kenny….may he rest in peace….and to his family, Be Strong…our thoughts and prayers are with you…!!!

I am so sorry to hear about Kenny. Whenever I see you Kathy I will see a Kenny's smiling face next to yours. He was a good man with a great big Heart. I will pray for Heavenly Father's loving arms to be around you and Kody at this time to comfort you. I sure do Love you. I am so very sorry Kathy.

The mighty great white hunter was called back to our great maker! Big shoes for Kody to fill, but you and Cathy have prepared him well. I will miss the greatest guy a girl could want for a brother. When I needed a big brother, God sent Kenny! Thanks for loving my Randy and treating him like your own. There is no one like you! We're going miss you! Things will never be the same without you!
