Michael "Mike" Greninger, 68, died Sunday, May 8, 2011, in his residence. He was born May 14, 1942, in Bellefonte, PA to Charles and Geraldine Greninger.
After graduating from Bellefonte High School in 1961, Mike joined the United States Air Force and was a surgical orderly stationed in Korea after the Korean War. Mike spent most of his professional life as a wine and liquor salesman and retired 5 years ago, using his time to pursue his passions - hunting, fishing and golfing.
With his death he is survived by his children; Cari, Terry, Mikel, Scott and Lesley. He is also survived by his parents, his brother Gene, nephews J.R. and Jason, a grandson, Robert and three beautiful granddaughters Sandy, Jenny and Christy.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3 pm on Friday, May 13 at Ross, Burke and Knobel, located at 2155 Kietzke Lane. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada in his memory.

Prayers to the family and friends. I knew Mike as a young kid through baseball and his toughness/fighting spirit. Later through HS reunions, met the nice man he had become. Nice memories.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and his children and that was true for you guys with your Dad. Hopefully in heaven they have all the Birch Beer and Tasty Kakes that one can handle.

We cannot feel life's losses without first feeling the blessings of its fullness. One of my memories was one summer when I went to visit Uncle Charles and Aunt Gerry and Mike set me up with a date with one of his boyfriends who, at that time, was sporting a mohawk hair do.
