He worked as a public defender for the City of Sparks, pro tem judge for the Sparks Municipal Court in addition to maintaining a private practice. He was known for his keen analytical mind and bringing order out of chaos. He retired after having a stroke in 2002.

Paul was a great friend in school. Never forgot riding your Vespa with you once in an alfalfa field and getting the crop wrapped around the axle. Miss you Fergie, Rest in Peace.
