Hello Old Friend,
Whew we traveled a few miles together. It was quit a journey. I have loved a few men in my life but even fewer have gotten as close to me as you did. I was fortunate enough to spend countless hours with you, from the time that you moved here from Tonopah until your untimely death. We were trully like brothers. Thank you.
As Always, Love,

Robert Sanchez (or Uncle Bob as I knew him) was a man who, throughout all his trials and tribulations, maintained a genuine earnestness in his dedication to his family. Though my contact with Uncle Bob had dissipated to nearly nothing over the last years of his life, I always hoped and still hope he found some solace knowing that through all that has happened his life effected so many people (including myself) in such a profound way that the memory of Robert Recil Sanchez will resonate with us as long as we're here.
You are missed greatly Uncle Bob.

We all miss you BOB!!!!!!!!!! Oh how I wish you could have stayed and enjoyed a few more years on earth. I wish my Dad could have stayed longer too but I guess that's just not how it works. I went to your grave on Memorial Day Week. Navy Boy. Susie wishes you could still be here too. I said something stupid like "Yeah but he can see us from heaven!" And she said ,"No, I wish he could have stayed here and enjoyed Earthly things. And I didn't really understand what she meant until I thought of my Dad. The closeness of that relationship. I miss him very deeply. And you and Susie had a love beyond love. So anyway thank you for your service to our country. And it was a blessing knowing you. And could let us know if you can see us from up there???
Love , Michele

Bob,
You were truly a great person and I will always remember you and our conversations. You taught me an important Motto: “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket”. I will always think about you and you will always be apart of my heart. Thank you for always being yourself.

"There are no endings, only new beginnings." (Flavia)
That is my favorite quote, I try to remember it each time I think of you and not being able to hug you or hang out with you again. As they say, there is never enough time to say the things you want to say, never enough time to spend with loved ones, for they are all taken away too soon. I know that you are with your lord and savior up in heaven, just where you are meant to be, but alas we are all selfish humans and miss and want you back with us. The days pass but you are with us all no matter where we are. Though you are not with your body anymore, I know you are there. You are not forgotten. I miss you so much and think about you all the time. I hope that I will see you again someday! You are greatly loved!
Love Always,
Auntie Hellica

Bobby,
Well, I am very sad that you won't be sitting on my front porch at 0700 waiting for us to be surprised when we walk the dog in the morning. You would drive all night and just wait patiently for someone to wake up. I will truly miss you, your laugh, your smile, your sense of humor and all the LOVE you gave to me and my children.....they love you so much and tell me over and over again how much they miss you....all the fun....all the generoisity. You have so much love to give and I thank God that we spent the time we spent together.
God Bless You Bobby and Rest in Peace.
Amazing Love,
Your little sister,
Rita

Aunt Dorothy and family,
Though we are unable to be with you, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I am certain that though Bob was sad to have to leave you he was just as excited to see Uncle Truman.
My deepest condolences.

To Aunt Dorothy and the "kids"..I remember Bobby and the rest of you as when we were children. The memories are dim, but still remain a precious part of my past. Seeing Bob's picture helps me remember more clearly. My condolences to all of you during this time. We may be at a distance, but our loving thoughts are with you all. God bless you.

Bob,
Boy did you live a full life!! You were always there for us in good, bad and the crazy times (ya crazy) I can hear Albert saying " Freakin Bob" What about the time you worked on the carburetor in the house with gas and all, you said " it is to cold to catch on fire"!! Never seen that done before. You are not here with us now but you will always live in our memories.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Bob, You will always be remembered for your kind and patient spirit as well as your ability to fix anything the rest of us broke. Wish we could sit at the house in the valley, just one more time, and watch the sun rise.

Hopi Prayer -
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there
I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on the snow
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain
I am the gentle Autumn's rain
When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds circled in flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there I did not die
