Steven Brockovich Obituary

Steven Michael Brockovich

Reno - It is with great sadness that the family of Steven Michael Brockovich announces his unexpected passing on November 19, 2018 at the age of 61.

Steve was born in San Francisco, California on May 29, 1957 and adopted by his loving parents, Mike and Edna Brockovich, of Reno, Nevada. He attended Jessie Beck Elementary School, Swope Middle School, and Reno High School, where he was always involved in sports and student government. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1981 with a degree in Finance, and was hired by the Reno Chrysler Finance Department where he would soon become the youngest Credit Manager in the State of Nevada. With a flair for numbers and a mind for finance, Steve began his career in the investment world with EF Hutton in 1985, and made the move to Morgan Stanley a few years later. In 1991, he married his wife Reevi Sullivan, and in 1992 and 1996 respectively, he welcomed into the world his two daughters, Steffanie and Emilee, who were his entire life. Steve spent many years coaching their sports teams, and never missed a single basketball game or track meet.

Steve was an avid hiker, rookie golfer, seasoned traveler, and sincere friend. He spent his most recent years at Wells Fargo Advisors, where he continued to foster true relationships with each of his clients and team members. On the weekends, Steve could be found hiking the trails of Reno, tinkering around his yard, and dancing to classic rock. He rarely took fashion advice but was always complimentary of others' clothing choices. "Am I right?"

Steve will be forever remembered by his two daughters, Steffanie and Emilee; his beloved bird dog, Tessa; his son-in-law, Jeremy; his sister, Lujean Holmes; his nieces and nephews, Breeanne, Amy, and TJ Sullivan, and Victoria, Rebekkah, and Michael Holmes; and countless close friends and relatives. He is predeceased by his mother, Edna; and his father, Mike.

Steve will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
