Helen Marie (Pumphrey) Gadd, 87, of Graysville, passed away peacefully at her residence on Nov. 20, 2024.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1937, and moved to Graysville from Washington, DC.., in 1972.
Helen was a devoted member of the Brayton Seventh-day Adventist Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was the center of Helen's life, and she found great joy in spending time with her loved ones, playing games and creating lasting memories. Her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was boundless, and she will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family.
Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Gadd Foshay Witherow; her parents, Carl and Elanor Pumphrey; and several siblings.
She is survived by her husband of many years, Clifford W. Gadd Sr.; her children, Linda Brantley (Jerry), Clifford "Billy" (Tammy) Gadd Jr, and Michele (Hooper) Kincannon III; sisters, Joan Nail and Eleanor Norton; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to honor Helen's life was held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Pettengill officiating. Interment followed at Brayton Cemetery.
Helen's family takes comfort in knowing she was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
