Larry W. Reed age 76 of Grandview, Tennessee died on Friday, August 29, 2025, at his residence. He was born on May 17, 1949 to the late Austin and Louise Davis Reed and was a lifetime resident of the area. Larry attended school in Grandview and Spring City. He joined the United States Army and proudly served his country for 10 years. Larry was employed at TVA for his working career at various facilities until his retirement. He enjoyed being outside and loved to work on his farm.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years Gail Reed of Grandview, Tennessee; his stepchildren Justin (Lacey) Mosley of Grandview, Tennessee, John (Haley) Mosley of Crossville, Tennessee, and Kim (Sean) Adkins of Ooltewah, Tennessee; his sister Janie James of Grandview, Tennessee; his brother Terry (Roberta) Reed of Grandview, Tennessee; his grandchildren Ethan, Brendan, and Caleb; his best friends David Treece, Bob Boudreau, and Jorge Cordero; and his friend and caregiver Judy Atkinson.
The family received friends on Monday, September 1, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 12:30 P.M. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the American Legion Post #203, 179 West Jackson Ave., Spring City, Tennessee 37381 in his memory.
