Eugene Franks Obituary

Eugene Philip "Gene" Franks, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2022, at his home in Chetek, WI.  He was born on November 22, 1942, in Chicago, IL, the son of Paul and Margaret "Marge" (Bono) Franks.

Gene proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  He worked in construction sales for many years and enjoyed using his construction knowledge for his own home renovations and for those he loved.  In his later years, he enjoyed gardening and keeping his yard looking good.  Gene enjoyed being silly and loved a good laugh.

He is survived by his beloved daughter and son in law, Jessica and Tony Martin of Eau Claire, WI; his grandchildren, Adrianna and Bennett Martin; his nephew, Logan Schultz of Chetek, WI, his cousin Phil Zengri and god-children Mary Zengri, Deanna Zengri and Robin Zengri of Chicago, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Interment with military honors will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday June 3, 2022 at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.  A reception will follow at The Prime Bar and Family Dining in Trego.
