Robert "Bob" Lee Balk, 68 of Barron passed away at his home on June 28, 2023. He was born July 29, 1954 in Dubuque, IA.
Bob was a proud owner of Balk's Tree Service. In addition, he was certified as a traveling CNA and cared for residents at various nursing home facilities.
He dedicated his time to others as a volunteer firefighter and first responder while living in Tennessee. In his spare time, Bob loved fishing and hunting with his close family and friends.
He is survived by partner/wife, Cindy Rosenbaum; daughter, Angela (Aaron) Johnson; grandchildren, Ema (Bolton) Algeo, Logan Johnson, Corban Johnson; great-grandchildren, Ava "T" Johnson and Oliver Algeo; siblings, Terri (Danny) Pratt, Sheila (Ed) Frey and Betty Jean Balk; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by daughter, Teresa "Weezer" Balk; parents, Pete and Marjorie Balk.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice, especially Mel, Travis and Jessi, for their excellent care of Bob.
