Barbara Wright Obituary

Barbara E. Wright

Barbara E. Wright, 91, of Wakefield, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Charles Ted Wright. Born in North Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late George Browning and Harriet (LaFountain) de Charmont.

Barbara was the Senior Coordinator for the Narragansett Community Center for over 20 years and enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her three

daughters, Terrie Quinn, her husband David and the late Paul Hoxsie, Penne Drugan, her late husband Richard Sr., Cindy Rose, her husband Earl, grandmother of Michelle Hoxsie-Quinn, Richard Drugan Jr., Amy Meyer, Garth Hoxsie-Quinn, Jeremiah Rose, Tracie Quinn and Ryan Drugan, eleven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Barbara's funeral will be held Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peacedale. Calling hours will be Sunday, from 4 to 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Narragansett Lions Club, PO Box 186, Narragansett, RI 02882.
