Elizabeth Marie Cook

Elizabeth Marie Cook, 90, of Scituate passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2017 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Norman J. Cook. She was born in Cranston, RI to the late Everett and the late Elizabeth (Taylor) Scott.
Betty was a medical assistant for fifty years retiring at the age of 80. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished the time spent with her family. She was a gourmet cook and loved cooking for family gatherings.
She is survived by two children: Elizabeth Dauphinee (husband Warner) of Scituate, with whom she resided and Dean Cook (wife Marylu) of West Warwick; five grandchildren: Heidi Morin (Jim), Dean Cook II (Dawn), Scott Dauphinee (Alicia), Joseph Cook (Shona) and Timothy Cook; eight great-grandchildren: Katelyn Morin, twins Danielle and Deanna Cook, Madison Morin, Isabella Dauphinee, Sophia Dauphinee, Morgan Cook and Ella Cook. She is predeceased by three siblings: Beatrice Bellwood, Norman Scott and Robert Scott.
Calling hours and funeral gathering will take place at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Friday, November 24 from 8:30 to 10:00 AM followed with a funeral service at Trinity Episcopal Church, 251 Danielson Pike, North Scituate, RI at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry.
