Joan McCauley Obituary
She was the wife of the James A. McCauley. Born on May 12, 1929 in Pawtucket, Joan was the daughter of the late William Blease Jr. and Rose Kathleen Castle. A graduate of Pawtucket East High School, she received her Bachelor's degree in 1952 from the University of Rhode Island. She was an elementary school teacher in the Narragansett school system. Joan was a member since1975 of Chapter B, Rl of the Philanthropic Education Organization (PEO) which enables women to further their education.
Joan's true love was her family. She is survived by her three daughters Lynn S. Sabina of Bourne, MA, Pamela J. Scott of Westerly, Rl, and Wendy E. Rifkin of Agoura Hills, CA. Mrs. McCauley always enjoyed the company of her sons-in-law Mark Sabina and his sons Michael and Joseph, Timothy Scott, and Steven Rifkin. She was very proud of her grandchildren Emily C. and James P. Scott, and Jacob H. and Chloe I. Rikfin. Joan was predeceased by her brother J. Russell Blease.
Her life will be celebrated with calling hours on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M in Avery-Storti Funeral Home and a funeral service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 10 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield. Burial will be in the RI Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, Rl. For guest book and condolences, averystortifuneralhome.com.
