Paul Richard Pierce, Jr.

Paul Richard Rick Pierce Jr, 59, of Zephyrhills Florida, passed away August 10, 2024.

Born in Providence RI, he was a son of Paul R. Pierce, Sr. and Margaret (Mitchell) Pierce.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Timothy, Stephen, Nathan and Jeremy Pierce, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late

Joel Pierce.

Rick worked 10 years at the North Kingstown Free Library, 10 years at the Plymouth State College Library in Plymouth NH and at the University of South Florida Library in Tampa FL. Rick was a board member of the Davisville Free Library in Davisville RI for 8 years. Rick was a collector of rare

books and Bible translations.

Visitation for Rick was held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 10 to 11 AM in the Stoney Lane Church, 921 Old Baptist Road, North Kingstown, RI, with a service held at 11 AM. Burial followed in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, 6365 Post Road, North Kingstown. Reception was at Stony Lane Church.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations may be made to Rick's brother Stephen's ministry with Cru (Campus Crusade). Giving can be done online at give.cru.org/0431431 or details are listed there for mailing a check.
