Raymond LaBossiere Obituary

EXETER, RI- Raymond Alfred LaBossiere, 84, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Alfred and Jeannette LaBossiere.

Ray was raised and educated in Warwick. From a young age, he was drawn to the water, spending countless days along the shores of Goddard Park quahogging, fishing, and finding peace by the sea he loved so much. He proudly served his country as a member of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), known as the Screaming Eagles. His courage, discipline, and devotion to his fellow soldiers remained with him throughout his life. Raymond often said he was a Quahogger, a Woodcutter, and a Cowboy, and he truly lived up to those words. He was a man of remarkable grit and perseveranceonce once working seven straight years without a single day off. He began his career at Lisona Tool Cutting, and his strong work ethic carried through every job he held.

He had a deep and abiding love for his horse business and spent 25 wonderful years at D&R Stables, where he became a trusted friend and mentor to countless riders and barn staff. He also started and ran Ray's Firewood and later worked side by side mentoring his son with Mister Tree. His strength and steady spirit continued to shine, always happy to be steadily working and encouraging others to do the same.

He was a devoted New England Patriots fan and made sure someone had it set to the right channel before the game started. But more than anything, his heart belonged to his family. His children and grandchildren were his greatest joy. More than anything, the time he spent with them was what he treasured most. Those who knew him will remember his hard work, endur

ing strength, and generous heart. He lived simply, loved deeply, and left behind a legacy of integrity, loyalty, and love.

Raymond LaBossiere leaves behind his beloved children, Scott LaBossiere and Tara LaBossiere; cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Andrew, Benjamin and Abigail Levesque, Adeline, Gabrielle, Charlotte and Keagan LaBossiere; his loving siblings, Ronald and John LaBossiere, Evelyn Mulligan, Dianne Gilbo and Jeanne Mikaelian.

Ray will be missed by many. If you knew him and would like to pay your respects please join us for a Visitation (Celebration of Life) that will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, from 10AM - 1:00PM in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home of Patrick Quinn Funerals and Cremations, 825 Boston Neck Rd.
