Robert Louis Theroux

1944 - 2025

WEST WARWICK, RI- Robert Bob Louis Theroux, age 81, passed away on November 3, 2025 in Manchester, NH after suffering a heart attack. He is the son of the late Joseph S. and Leona D. (Anctil) Theroux. Bob was born on May 3, 1944 in West Warwick, RI, where he lived most of his life. He is a 1962 graduate of Deering High School in West Warwick. He was an electrician and engraver at Electric Boat in Quonset, RI for 45 years before he retired.

Bob had also been a member of the Davisville Police prior to working at Quonset Point and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the American Legion.

Bob enlisted in the Air Force in the mid 1960's, serving at the Amarillo Air Force Base in Amarillo, TX and at Clark's Air Force Base in Manila, Philippines. After returning home, he met and married his wife of 47 years, the late Sandra A. (Carmody) Theroux.

Education was important to Bob as he earned 2 associates degrees from Johnson & Wales College and a bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College while working full time. He imparted his love of learning on his two daughters, Deana and Melissa, and served as a role model for them to pursue an education. Bob enjoyed learning about history and visiting historical sites around the country. He also enjoyed DIY projects around his home, building models, leather crafting and was an avid Patriots fan.

Bob is survived by two daughters: Deana Theroux, of Riverside, RI and Melissa Theroux, of Boston, MA. He is

also survived by his brother, Ronald Theroux and his wife, Elaine, of Hereford, AZ, his sisters-in-law, Cynthia Creswick of Raynham, MA and Carol Carmody of Tampa, FL, brother-in-law, Thomas Carmody of CT as well as nieces, a nephew, great nieces and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 1pm-4pm in Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home of Patrick Quinn Funerals and Cremations, 45 Curson Street, West Warwick, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 10am in Christ the King Church, 124 Legris Avenue, West Warwick, RI with Military Honors to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, 959 Nooseneck Hill Road, West Greenwich, RI.
