Sheila M. (Collins) Regan, 80, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2021, surrounded by her family after a short and sudden illness. Sheila was a selfless and devoted wife to Michael J. Regan for 58 years.

Born in Chicago, IL, Sheila was a daughter of the late John and LaReine (Mahoney) Collins. She was a loving mom, grandmother, sister, friend, and community volunteer. In addition to Michael, she is survived by her heartbroken children, Mary Ellen, Timothy and his wife Jennifer, Jay and his wife Robin, and daughter-in-law Kathleen, her three sisters, brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sheila was predeceased by her son Shaun.?

Sheila was always thinking of others and her nine grandchildren, Ryan, May, Kathryn, Colin, Anjali, Aidan, Miguel, Laura, and Julise, were always at the top of the list.

Sheila lived each day to the fullest. When her kids were young, she could be found on the bleachers at a baseball, softball, soccer, or hockey game cheering on her children.  Later in life, a light day might include talking over coffee and snacks with friends, a yoga workout, gardening, reading, painting, keeping an eye on a grandchild or two, a quick run to the local grocery for fresh ingredients to create a culinary masterpiece and to be sure her home was well stocked for family and friends, or doing volunteer work at Crossroads or Lee Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed singing in the Chorale, attending a grandchild's sporting event, and playing a bridge game with her many close friends.

A communicant at St. Francis de Sales Church for over 50 years, she also taught in the religious education program for many years.

All were welcome to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, August 4 from 4-6 p.m. in the Fagan- Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road in North Kingstown. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, August 5 at 10 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church, North Kingstown, RI. Due to the pandemic, Sheila's burial will be private for family only.
