CARRIE JO ROTH

CARRIE JO ROTH 1958 - 2025 Marysvale, Utah: Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Carrie Jo Hansen Roth, age 67, passed away April 21, 2025 in Syracuse, Utah. She was born January 20, 1958 in Salt Lake City to Albert Stanley and Charlotte Jean Truman Hansen. She grew up in Salt Lake City, and graduated from Cottonwood High with the class of 1976. She attended South Weber State and earned her Associated Degree in Nursing in 1999. She married Arthur Dick Roth February 25, 1982 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They were later divorced. Carrie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and held many positions such as a primary teacher, chorister, Den Mother and Scout Master. She also helped with various Relief Society activities and projects. She served as county coordinator for Primary Children's Festival of Trees. She was also a PTA President for two years, putting her in charge of a Halloween carnival fundraiser for the elementary school. Carrie at one point in her life trained as a floral designer and used her love of arranging flowers to open a private business creating silk wedding arrangements. She loved sewing and doing crafts. She was a good cook, and enjoyed experimenting with new recipes. She enjoyed camping in the mountains around Utah, she thought fishing was fun but wouldn't clean the fish. Carrie is survived by her children: Carly Jewel Roth of Sunset, Jason Andrew Roth of Salt Lake City and Jacob Frederick Roth of Midvale; grandsons: Coen Mitchell and Declan Miles both of Sunset; siblings: Jennifer Christensen of East Carbon, David Hansen of Texas, Debbie Frank of Arizona, Jon Hansen and Mitchell Hansen. She is preceded in death by her father, Albert and mother, Charlotte; as well as her older sister Shirley and her partner in life Arthur Roth. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the Mtn. View Cemetery in Marysvale, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield, Friday morning from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon prior to the services. Burial will be in the Marysvale Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
