Christine Jessen Christine Marie Jessen, 59, Kingston, passed away peacefully in her home Dec. 17, 2023. Chris was born on Sep. 30, 1964, in Missouri to Grant and Marietta Wood. Her family moved to Bellingham, Washington, where she attended Ferndale High School. Chris was actively engaged in many activities at her high school. She loved participating in her school marching band, school events and especially track and field. After high school, Chris moved to Utah where she managed apartments. She later moved to Piute county where she met and married the love of her life, Brent Jessen. They were married in the Manti temple and have celebrated 34 years of marriage. They later had two children, Ty and Paige. Her children were her whole world, she fiercely loved them. She continuously supported them in their activities and was their biggest cheerleader throughout the various stages of life. However, her favorite title in life was being "Nana" to her two grandsons. Chris was the most loving and giving grandma anyone could ask for. Shortly after getting married, she landed her dream job at Utah State University Extension/4H. She has touched the lives of kids from all around the state of Utah, especially her home county of Piute. She recently celebrated 30 years of dedicated service to Utah State University. Chris also lived to cook and feed others. She started her own successful catering business where she has happily fed people all over the state of Utah. Chris has been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her whole life and diligently served in many callings. Chris will be greatly missed by her family and community. Chris is survived by her husband, Brent; son, Ty (Jordan); daughter, Paige (Colter); grandsons, Haze and Bronx; and her 7 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 22, at noon in the Circleville 2nd ward chapel where friends may call from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Kingston Cemetery.
