Jess R. Cadlini, 90, of Richfield, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, with his loving wife, Linda, by his side.
Jess was born on November 29, 1935, in Derby, NV, to Joseph and Edna Cadlini. He graduated in 1954 from Chino High School in Chino, CA. Jess was employed by the Chino Unified School District as a maintenance supervisor for more than 40 years. He met and married the love of his life, Linda Estenson, in 1971. Jess had eyes for her from the moment they met, as she was a new secretary at the district office. He never claimed it was love at first sight, but everyone who knew him recognized that it truly was. They shared 55 wonderful years of marriage-true love in every sense.
Jess was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Army for four years. He was a true patriot who deeply loved his country. He was also a natural-born farmer, raising sheep and cattle for most of his life. Jess loved animals and took great pride in raising high-quality stock.
An avid sportsman, Jess enjoyed hunting with his friends, brothers, and nephew. He was also an exceptional woodworker who created many impressive pieces, including clocks, bowls, bookcases, and tables-just to name a few.
Jess will be remembered most for his kindness and his remarkable depth of knowledge. He seemed to know something about everything, and he shared his wisdom generously. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jess is survived by his wife, Linda; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Akren (Dennis) and Charlotte Welch and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald, Andrew ("Andy"), and George and sisters Lucille Hawkins, Dorothy Cadlini, Ruth Franchi, and Ida Cadlini.
Graveside services will be held on December 18, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Richfield Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook and condolences at www.maglebymortuary.com.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Zion's Way Hospice for their loving care of Jess, especially Samantha for her sweet and compassionate heart.
