KAY MINOR

KAY MINOR 7/30/1936 - 11/17/2025 Salina/ Sigurd, Utah-Kay Elaine Kunkle Minor passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. She was born on July 30, 1936, to John and Edith Kunkle in Maywood, California. She grew up in both Maywood and China Lake, California. Attending Sherman E. Burrows High School and graduating class of 1954. She was also a faithful member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her hobbies included playing cards, traveling, genealogy research, fishing, target shooting, antique collecting and watching classic films. Professionally, she worked in banking as a teller for many years. She had many friends from her days working at Valley Central Bank, and later Bank One. Kay married Jay Wesley Anderson on March 6, 1954 in Carson City, Nevada. Together they had their son, Jay Anderson but later divorced. She then married Camden V. "Steve" Neilson in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 15, 1958 where they lived in Ladera Heights, California until 1974. Moving to Northridge, California until 1976 and then to Richfield, Utah. They spent their weekends tracking down rare antiquities and fishing with their grandsons. Steve sadly passed away on March 29, 1995. Kay lived in Richfield until 2007, marrying Ed Minor and then moving to Sigurd, Utah. She is survived by her husband Ed Minor son, Jay W. Anderson of Salina, step-sons, Bryan (Christine) Minor of Lake Isabella, California, Mark Minor of Magna, Randy Minor of Santaquin. Grandchildren, David W. (Dana) Anderson, Dustin C. (Elisha) Anderson. Great grandchildren, Trevor, Connor and Erin Anderson all of Richfield. Also, brother, Gerald W. (Sandy) Kunkle of Magalia, California. Sister, Darla (Vernon) Sherwood of Aztec, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband; Camden V. "Steve" Neilson, her father and mother; John Wayne Kunkle and Edith Simmons Kunkle. Also, daughter-in-law Patricia Anderson. Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield. Friends and family called for viewing from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina.
