LUELLA JORGENSEN
2/12/1931 - 10/27/2025
Redmond, Utah: Mom passed away peacefully in her home on October 27, 2025. She was born in Gunnison, Utah, on February 12, 1931, to Louis Christian and Dagmar Mortensen Munk. Mom worked as a waitress and cook for many years, as well as managed Mom's Cafe. She worked at the Six County Health Department, where she eventually retired.
She was a beautiful seamstress and loved to sew all her children's clothing as well as many outfits for her grandchildren, including doll clothes. She was extremely gifted at crocheting and making quilts. Her children and grandchildren were all recipients of her beautiful, handmade afghans and quilts.
She has always had a deep appreciation and love for music. She instilled the love for music with her children and later with her grandchildren. There was always music playing in her home, especially during the Christmas holidays. She was a beautiful soprano and sang in a Double Trio for many years. She also sang in the Ward Choir, Stake Singing Mothers, and had the opportunity to sing in the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, as well as the rededication of the Manti Temple. She was the ward chorister and choir director for many years and held other church positions, most of them associated with music. She wrote many musical programs for primary, Mutual (Young men's and women's), and other church functions.
Her most treasured gift in her life was her family. She was a Grandma to all and will always be known as Grandma Lou. Holidays all year long were hosted by her, and we were all recipients of her love and great cooking. All the grandkids especially loved the fun Easter parties she planned.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula (Paul) Jensen and Diane Jensen. As well as daughter-in-law Randi (Dennis) Jorgensen and sister-in-law Nola Rae (Donald) Munk. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 12 (plus one on the way) great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son, Blake Jorgensen; daughter, Jana Roberts; son, Dennis Jorgensen; great-grandson, Kelby Lee; parents, Louis Christian and Dagmar Mortensen Munk; and her 10 siblings: Claine Munk, Mavis (Howard) Hansen, Robert Munk, Max (Jean) Munk, Keith (Myrtle) Munk, Barbara (Ike) Lunt, Charlene (Joe) Nelson, Betty (George) Barton, DeEtte (Roger) Nelson, and Donald Munk.
Her inspirational journey complete, Grandma Lou is now rejoicing in heaven, reunited at last with her three beloved children who preceded her, leaving her family with the powerful example of a life well-loved and a faith well-kept.
Until we meet again, Grandma Lou. We love you and will forever honor your memory.
