O'SHAUGHNESSY, Bernie - Ashleigh Grove, Knocknacarra and formerly of O'Connaire Rd, Shantalla, Galway who passed away on 7th June 2024 The family of Bernie would like to sincerely thank everyone who sympathised with us following her passing, and those who sent Mass cards and condolences online and those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful. We wish to thank Dr Aisling Granahan and all at the Crescent Medical Centre, all the staff in UHG and Merlin Park Hospital, Dr Michelle O'Shaughnessy, the palliative care team, and Galway Hospice. Special thanks to all our family, friends, neighbours, and to Bernie's former work colleagues in the Connacht Tribune and Galway Cathedral and those who travelled distances to be with us at this sad time. Many thanks to Fr Declan Lohan for performing Last Rites, and to Fr Tadhg Quinn and Fr Gerry Jennings for performing the funeral Mass. Also thank you to soloist and musician Ailbhe Hession for performing at Bernie's Mass, the gravediggers at Rahoon Cemetery, Martin and Debbie of Davitt Photo, and The Ardilaun House Hotel for their hospitality. Sincere thanks to Cathriona, Willie and all at O'Flaherty Funeral Directors for their professionalism and caring manner throughout. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all who helped and supported us. Month's Mind Mass Will be offered for Bernie on Sunday 21st July 2024 at 12:00pm in St John the Apostle Knocknacarra Parish Church.
