Elaine Gahring Bell

1946 - 2025

Elaine Gahring Bell, 78, of Warren, PA, formerly or Ridgway, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday April 28, 2025, in her home.

She was born in Ridgway, PA, on October 10, 1946, the daughter of the late Harold and Marie Smith Gier. Elaine attended Ridgway High School and was a graduate of Warren Area High School, Class of 1964. She graduated from Edinboro University with a master's degree in education. Elaine worked for over 40 years with IU5 and the Warren County School District. Elaine loved puzzle's, puzzle books, house plants, gardening, cooking, baking, desserts, and spending time with her family. She was a former member of St. Joseph R. C. Church, of Warren, PA. Elaine was the acting treasurer on the 1964 Class reunion committee for WAHS

On February 14, 1998, in Calvary Chapel of Russell, she married John R. Bell, and they spent 27 loving years together.

In addition to her husband, John, Elaine is survived by her loving children, Philip N. Gahring II and wife Kimberly Klemm-Gahring, of Charlottesville, VA, Julie Gahring Labesky, of Warren, PA, Andrew Bell and wife Carrie of Columbus, OH, and Ashley Bell of Ridgway, PA; seven grandchildren, Conner, Austin, Gage, and Beck Labesky, all of Warren, PA, and Aubrey, Bennett, and Miles Bell of Columbus, Ohio; and one sister, Diane DeLullo of St. Mary's, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Philip N. Gahring, and a sister, Cathy DeLullo.

Friends may call on Friday May 2, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St. Warren, Pa. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm in the funeral home. Private burial will be held in the Mausoleum of the Ascension in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
