Florence A. Dubler, 98, of 222 Cushing Avenue, Johnsonburg, died Tuesday afternoon, July 27, 2021 at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys following a brief illness. She was born on July 9, 1923 in Jersey Shore, PA a daughter to the late Walter and Effie Mae Sherry Logue. On January 16, 1948 in Johnsonburg, she married Edward F. Dubler. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1990.
Florence had lived most of her life in Johnsonburg and was a 1941 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church, which was a very important part of her life. While active at the church, she was a member of numerous committees over the years. She had even served as the church custodian for several years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Florence loved to sew and read and enjoyed the outdoors. She loved to go on Sunday afternoon drives with her family and enjoyed traveling whenever she could.
She enjoyed being a home-maker, but had worked, in addition to taking care of her church, at Sylvania in Emporium for several years and in the offices of the New York And Pennsylvania Co. in Johnsonburg.
She is survived by 4 sons; Robert Dubler and his wife Mary Lynn of Charlotte, NC, Steven Dubler of Johnsonburg, Glen Dubler and his wife Robin of Johnsonbrg and Rodger "Skip" Dubler of Johnsonburg and a daughter; Kathleen, Mrs. Bill Carter of Tampa, FL and 5 grandchildren; Paul Dubler, Jason and Emily Dubler, Bethany Carter and Tess Dubler. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by a son Gary Dubler, 4 brothers; Charlie, Bill, Alan and Gerald Logue and a sister; Dorothy Michaels.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service for Florence Dubler to be conducted at the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church on Friday July 30, 2021 at 11 AM with Pastor Matt Williams as Celebrant. Interment will be in Wardvale Lutheran Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
