Helen G. Weis, age 77, of 163 Ridgmont Dr., Ridgway, and formerly of 500 Willard St., died Saturday, May 29, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness. She was born April 21, 1944, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Isaac and Maria (Bleggi) Gusmerotti. She married Eugene Weis on September 23, 1967, he survives. She resided in the Ridgway area all of her life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. She was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Ridgway High School Class of 1962.

She is survived by her husband Eugene Weis of Ridgway, 1 son Shawn (Pamela) Weis of Cranberry Twp., PA, 1 daughter Jennifer Weis of Ridgway, 3 grandchildren Jessica, Evan, and Paul Weis of Cranberry Twp., PA, 2 sisters: Yolanda Corradi of Brockport and Rose Kline of St. Marys, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers James and William Gusmerotti, and 1 sister Delores Swanson.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen G. Weis will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Friends will be received at St. Leo Gathering Space on Thursday from 9:30 until the time of the Mass. Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Ridgway YMCA or to St. Leo Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
