Michelle C. Laughner, 42, of Punxsutawney, formerly of Ridgway, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, March 4, 2024.

She was born on February 3, 1982, a daughter of David Pepper and Laurie Lenze Laughner.

Michelle was a graduate of Ridgway High School and was part of the soccer and track teams. In her free time, she enjoyed walking dogs, finding solace in the company of furry friends. Michelle's nurturing nature extended beyond animals, as she adored her nephews and niece, showering them with love and affection.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a stepdad, Rollin "Rusty" Laughner Jr. and his wife Dana of Ridgway, 2 sisters: Jacqueline Rittenhouse and her husband Steven of Birdsboro, and Lauren Laughner of Ridgway, maternal grandparents, Frederick and Dolores Lenze of Ridgway, and her loving Fiancé of more than 10 years, Fabiola Rocotelli of Italy, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a half-sister, Amy Loremo of Haslet, TX, and a stepbrother, Dylan Pepper of Springtown, TX. Michelle was loved by all of her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Norvin and Lucille Pepper, and paternal step grandparents Rollin and Martha Laughner.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 331 South Street, Ridgway, PA 15853, with lay-minister Mimi Laughner officiating.
