Sandy, you were a fabulous therapist to me years ago in Ohio. I really miss you and you made a big impact on my life.

To the family of Sandy (Zimmerman) Myers, I would like to share with you a lovely memory I have of Sandy, and her sisters Kay and Beverly, from c. 1962-1963.
When I was nearly 5 years old, soon to start kindergarten at the old Wilcox Elementary School (long gone), Sandy, Kay, and Beverly were at times our babysitters and went to the Wilcox High School. It was the a tradition on the last day of the school year that the older students could bring a guest. Sandy, Kay, and Beverly took my two sisters (5 and 3 years old) and me with them!
It was a warm sunny day in June. We were so very excited to get to ride the big yellow bus! The Zimmerman girls came to our house and we all met the bus at the same time. We had to always hold their hands when we were walking to and from the bus and around the school. I remember that Sandy (I was her guest) held me on her lap during the time in the classroom as there were not enough desks for everyone. It was traditionally a short day so we heard closing comments by the teachers, went to the playground (still there but refurbished), and then got back on the bus around noon. I distinctly remember wearing a pink ruffly dress, with white lacy ankle socks, and black patented leather shoes with little white hearts on them. Funny what one remembers. The Zimmerman sisters all wore dresses too. Of course, at that time, it was a requirement for females going to school. I also remember that the room we sat in would be the room in which I would complete the 6th grade!
In closing, Sandy, Kay, and Beverly returned us to our home and were the most beautiful girls. We loved them and remember their Mom and Dad fondly too. I can remember just talking my Mom's ear off when I got back to tell her all we had seen. I remember she suggested it was our "nap time."
As Sandy has now left us, the world will go on with her beautiful spirit and that of her sisters, children, and grandchildren, who I happen to know, are as lovely and sweet as she. Love SB
