Timothy A. "Red" Myers, 72, of 289 Markert Road, Rasselas, died Saturday evening, July 3, 2021 peacefully at home with his loving family at his side following a brief illness.
He was born on April 19, 1949 in Ridgway a son to the late Arthur Myers, Sr. and Sheila Dorio Myers. On August 10, 1974 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg he married Jessica Jakuboski and she survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the Rasselas area and was a 1968 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. He was a member of the Johnsonburg Elks Club. His greatest joy in life was his seven grandchildren whom he loved to watch play. He taught his children the value of hard work, to look up at the night sky and how to hunt for wild mushrooms and leeks. He took pride in his huge garden, and never met a tomato or pepper he didn't like. While he didn't have a degree to show for it, he was a mechanical engineer through-and-through. Always fixing, building and making things out of whatever he had lying around.
He retired from the Domtar-Johnsonburg Mill in 2015 after 37 years of service.
In addition to his wife Jessica at home, he is survived by his children: Sarah, Mrs. Tyson Croyle of Cranberry Twp., PA, Clinton Myers and his wife Lori of Wilcox, Claire Myers of Kersey and Sasha, Mrs. Josh Woodford of Kersey, 7 grandchildren; Evelyn and Ellery Croyle, Holden Lipsey and Jacob and Jerrod Miser and Liam Curci and Alec Woodford. Red is also survived by his brother Arthur Myers, Jr. and his wife Maryanne of Rasselas and his sister Pamela, Mrs. James Reiter of Rasselas and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents.
Funeral services for Timothy A. "Red" Myers will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.

Jessica, So sorry for your loss. I have not seem Tim in many years but I will always remember playing football with him in high school and his kindness toward me at that time. A great guy.

I'll never forget the first time I met Uncle Tim at Nan and Pup's house. I'll always remember how glad I was when I got to see him during holidays or just a visit. And I will always cherish our last time together and the things that he said to me. With the deepest love, I am sorry for the family's loss.
