Charles Ray Lamance

Charles Ray Lamance passed away Aug. 13, 2016, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Leslie Lamance; sisters, Joyce Russell, Patsy Snow and Kathy Lamance; and brother, Randall Lamance.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rebecca Evans Lamance of Harriman; three daughters, Robin Tedder and husband Marty Tedder of Harriman, Rebecca Stout and husband Will Stout of Nashville, Renee Lamance and husband Zach Kilmer of Murphy, N.C.; two grandchildren, Jace Tedder and Cole Tedder of Harriman; five siblings, Betty Daughtery, Dorothy Davis, Donna Moates and husband Pat, Brenda Snow and husband Bill, and Tony Lamance; a special cousin, Mike Franklin; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ronnie Newport, Raymond Ruppe, Austin Turner and Johnny Utley; and other friends too numerous to name.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Harriman. He enjoyed antique cars, gardening and fishing with his grandsons. He retired from Perma-Fix (DSSI) in Kingston, and was also a former employee of Roane Electric and the Roane County Sheriff's Department.
The visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman. The funeral was at 8 p.m. with Bro. Tim Giddens officiating. The burial was 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Tennessee Chapel Cemetery in Paint Rock.
